We just received the P238 HD (Heavy Duty) in .380. This model is identical to the P238 HDW except that it has the G10 grips instead of the rosewood grips. See specs and pricing on the P238 HD in our store.
We just received the SP2022 in 9mm. We added it to our store and snapped photos:
The Sig Pro SP2022 is one of the only Sig Sauer polymer framed pistols currently in production. The SP2022 has an accessory rail, extended slide release, contrast sights, and is double and single action.
The SIG SAUER® SP2022® is the latest version of our popular polymer framed pistol and features a durable, lightweight and wear-resistant polymer frame with the added tactical versatility of an integrated accessory rail. The slide is machined from a solid block of stainless steel and protected by SIG’s black Nitron® finish. Available in 9mm, .357 SIG and .40 S&W, the SP2022 can easily be converted from a Double-Action/Single-Action to a Double-Action Only configuration through a unique integral fire control unit. It also features the SIG SAUER four-point safety system. The SIG SAUER polymer framed pistols has earned an enviable reputation and proven track record of reliable performance in the hands of law enforcement professionals. In December of 2004 the U.S. Army Tank-automotive and Armaments Command at the Rock Island Arsenal awarded SIG SAUER a contract for 5,000 SIG SAUER SP2022 pistols chambered in 9mm. The SP2022 – the only polymer framed pistol engineered to perform, built to protect and good enough to be called a SIG SAUER.
We just received the Sig Sauer P238 HDW – this is a limited edition production run with rosewood grips instead of the G10 grips that are standard on the P238 HD. The P238 HDW also has SIGLite night sights, a natural stainless slide and frame, and weighs in at 21 ounces empty.
We just received word that Sig Sauer is once again producing the SP2022 (Sig Pro) polymer frame pistol. These SP2022 models have a polymer frame with accessory rail, extended slide release, 3 dot contrast sights, DA/SA trigger (with a DAO conversion or DAO factory option), and is chambered in 9mm, .40 S&W, and .357 Sig. It sounds like the .357 Sig won’t be as readily available due to overall demand.
The 9mm comes with a 15rd magazine and the .40 comes with a 12rd magazine. There are 10rd capacity magazines available for California, New York, and Hawaii compliance. The magazines are compatible with the older production run of SP2022′s.
We will have the 9mm and .40 S&W SP2022 available in a week or two. MSRP on the new SP2022 is $613.
Today’s announcement is for a new P226 model with an alloy frame and the pistol is presented in a reverse two tone finish. This new model features the same ergonomic (E2) grips as the new Enhanced Elites as well as the earlier E2 (e-squared) models. It also has a Short Reset Trigger (SRT), SIGLite night sights, and ships with two magazines. The frame is coated with Cerakote – a high performance ceramic based coating that gives it the look of Stainless but a lighter weight. The model number for this new model is E26R-9-CRTSS.
The new P226 Cerakote has an estimated initial ship date of early October and will have a MSRP of $1087. More details will be posted as they become available.
Update 10-4-2010 – we just received the P226 Cerakote models today. We have detailed photos of the new pistol along with specs and pricing in our store.
We just received some information about another two new Sig Sauer pistols. These new models are called Enhanced Elite, specifically the P226 Enhanced Elite and P229 Enhanced Elite. The summary from Sig Sauer breaks them down:
The “Enhanced Elite” models thake the same features common to all Elite series pistols and combine them with the ergonomic one piece reduced reach grips used in our E2 pistols. Available in both P226 and the upgraded P229-1 (using the same slide configuration as the P229 E2), these pistols bring the advantages of the one piece modular grip to a wider audience.
- P226 or P229 chambered in .357SIG, .40S&W or 9mm
- P229 9mm magazine capacity is 15 rounds
- One piece reduced reach ergonomic grip with updated stippling pattern
- Beavertail frame with front strap checkering and accessory rail
- Slide features “Elite” engraving and front cocking serrations
- SRT Short Reset Trigger System
- SIGLITE Night Sights
- (2) magazines
The MSRP for both Enhanced Elite models is $1,200 and the model numbers will be:
- P226: E26R-9-ESE, E26R-40-ESE and E26R-357-ESE

These models are slated for a nearly immediate release. More detailed photos will follow soon.
Update: 8-30-10 – we just received the Sig P226 Enhanced Elite 9mm and detailed photos are below:
We will post this model in our online store and link over to the product / spec page at that time.
We have the P238 BSS (blue finish with night sights) back in stock and snapped some detailed photos. The P238 BSS was one of the first 238 models with night sights released in early 2009 and was one of the first models (along with the Two Tone with night sights – the P238 TSS). These have been in extremely short supply as a result of very large back orders that were placed with Sig Sauer in January of 2009 at the annual SHOT Show. Sig is just now filling these orders that have been outstanding for roughly 19 months!
See the P238 BSS in our store with specs and pricing.
Note that the model number for this particular 238 is 238-380-BSS.
Along with the P238 Copperhead, Sig Sauer announced the P238 Liberty today. Like the Copperhead, the P238 Liberty edition has a Nitron slide with 24K selective gold inlay, Sig night sights, rosewood grips, and a nitron slide.
From the spec sheet:
Since its introduction in 2009 the P238 has redefined the role of a .380ACP caliber pistol for personal protection. The “Liberty” edition, available for a short time in limited quantities, pays tribute to our founding fathers’ vision of a society free from tyranny. The “Liberty” features a rendering of the Liberty Bell in 24K selective gold inlay. The text “We The People”, from the Preamble of the Constitution adorns the slide. Own the pistol our founding fathers would have been proud of – the P238 Liberty.
While these models were just announced, we do not yet have a firm release / delivery date. We will post detailed photos of the new models as they become available. We will also post any new information about them as we can.
Update 8-3-10 – I found out that there is a typo in the spec sheet on the sight radius – it is 3.8″ and barrel length is 2.7″. The MSRP on this model is $699.
