We have the new Sig Sauer 1911 Tactical Operations (TAC OPS) on order and we will be stocking them regularly in the near future. The 1911 TAC OPS is the replacement for Sig Sauer’s 1911 Blackwater. The 1911 Blackwater was discontinued in January 2010.
The 1911 Tactical Operations has some of the features that many 1911 owners seek: accessory rail, front strap checkering, Novak night sights, ambidextrous safety, extended magazine well (integrated into the main spring housing), Ergo XT grips, and Sig Sauer quality.

Back in July we learned about a few new P238 models including the Copperhead. We have received notification that the P238 Copperhead models have finally started shipping from the manufacturer. We are expecting them to arrive today or tomorrow – we will shoot and post detailed photos ASAP. We will also have the Copperhead available for sale online.
After our recent post announcing that the Sig Sauer SP2022 was available in the mainstream, we had some inquiries about whether or not Sig would produce a SP2022 in two tone.
I contacted our Sig Sauer rep and asked him about the idea of a two tone model. He indicated that they were not available and had never been produced. A few hours later my phone was ringing and our rep had an update. He talked with someone at Sig that handles manufacturing and found out that they could produce the SP2022 in two tone. Needless to say, we jumped on it and have ordered the following:
SP2022-9-TSS – SP2022 chambered in 9mm in two tone with night sights
SP2022-9-T – SP2022 chambered in 9mm in two tone with contrast sights
SP2022-40-TSS – SP2022 chambered in .40 S&W in two tone with night sights
SP2022-40-T – P2022 chambered in .40 S&W in two tone with contrast sights
I do not yet have an estimate on delivery but we’ll post detailed photos of each model and at that time they will be available for purchase in our online store.
Update 1-20-11 – Sig added the SP2022 two tone to their 2011 catalog!
We just received the P238 HD (Heavy Duty) in .380. This model is identical to the P238 HDW except that it has the G10 grips instead of the rosewood grips. See specs and pricing on the P238 HD in our store.
The Sig Pro SP2022 is one of the only Sig Sauer polymer framed pistols currently in production. The SP2022 has an accessory rail, extended slide release, contrast sights, and is double and single action.
The SIG SAUER® SP2022® is the latest version of our popular polymer framed pistol and features a durable, lightweight and wear-resistant polymer frame with the added tactical versatility of an integrated accessory rail. The slide is machined from a solid block of stainless steel and protected by SIG’s black Nitron® finish. Available in 9mm, .357 SIG and .40 S&W, the SP2022 can easily be converted from a Double-Action/Single-Action to a Double-Action Only configuration through a unique integral fire control unit. It also features the SIG SAUER four-point safety system. The SIG SAUER polymer framed pistols has earned an enviable reputation and proven track record of reliable performance in the hands of law enforcement professionals. In December of 2004 the U.S. Army Tank-automotive and Armaments Command at the Rock Island Arsenal awarded SIG SAUER a contract for 5,000 SIG SAUER SP2022 pistols chambered in 9mm. The SP2022 – the only polymer framed pistol engineered to perform, built to protect and good enough to be called a SIG SAUER.
We just received the Sig Sauer P238 HDW – this is a limited edition production run with rosewood grips instead of the G10 grips that are standard on the P238 HD. The P238 HDW also has SIGLite night sights, a natural stainless slide and frame, and weighs in at 21 ounces empty.
Below are photos of the P238 HDW and you can see availability and pricing in our store.
We just received word that Sig Sauer is once again producing the SP2022 (Sig Pro) polymer frame pistol. These SP2022 models have a polymer frame with accessory rail, extended slide release, 3 dot contrast sights, DA/SA trigger (with a DAO conversion or DAO factory option), and is chambered in 9mm, .40 S&W, and .357 Sig. It sounds like the .357 Sig won’t be as readily available due to overall demand.
The 9mm comes with a 15rd magazine and the .40 comes with a 12rd magazine. There are 10rd capacity magazines available for California, New York, and Hawaii compliance. The magazines are compatible with the older production run of SP2022′s.
We will have the 9mm and .40 S&W SP2022 available in a week or two. MSRP on the new SP2022 is $613.
