Sig Sauer’s Equinox is pretty well known but it is only natively available in .40 S&W (P226 and P229) and .45 ACP (P220). Every once in a while, the factory will build a run of guns that don’t end up on their website or in a catalog. We recently got our hands on a P229 9mm Equinox.
I have no idea why the factory randomly builds a gun like this that isn’t cataloged. Perhaps it was a special order where there was an overrun. In any case, we’ve got it available in our store and detailed photos can be seen below:
The SIG SAUER® SP2022® is the latest version of our popular polymer framed pistol and features a durable, lightweight and wear-resistant polymer frame with the added tactical versatility of an integrated accessory rail. The slide is machined from a solid block of stainless steel and Engraved in a diamond plate patterm on sides and top. Available in 9mm, the SP2022 can easily be converted from a Double-Action/Single-Action to a Double-Action Only configuration through a unique integral fire control unit. It also features the SIG SAUER four-point safety system.
In the last few months, we’ve had a few inquiries about the P250 2Sum package – specifically, the 2Sum in .40 S&W. We have a pretty competitive price on the 9mm version ($599) and up until now, we haven’t been able to buy the 2Sum in .40 so that we could sell them at the same price.
We just received a shipment with the 2Sum in .40 and we’re happy to be able to also sell the package for $599!
For those of you looking for a .45 ACP 2Sum, there is still nothing available from Sig Sauer. We have made inquiries about a .45 package and perhaps down the road one will be available but it would only be offered with the full size and compact frames. There is no sub-compact .45 ACP P250.
We just received a shipment containing a limited edition run of P226 pistols produced in Germany.
The standard by which all contemporary sidearms are measured, The P226 became the most esteemed full size, high-capacity pistol from the moment it was introduced. Time has only enhanced its reputation. The P226 distinguishes itself in the hands of special forces, law enforcement professionals, and discriminating citizens with uncompromising performance when it counts the most. The P226 German is manufactured in Germany. Features a black oxide carbon steel slide and anodize alloy frame.
A total of 500 of the German P226’s were imported. Below are photos and a spec sheet provided by Sig Sauer.
We’ve received another Sig 1911, the TTT, and we’ve added it to our store / site.
From Sig Sauer:
The 1911 TTT – or Triple T – is a two-tone 1911 with Nitron slide and black controls on a Natural Stainless frame. This non-railed pistol is accented by beautiful custom wood grips and topped off with adjustable combat night sights. The all stainless steel frame and slide of the Triple T are machined to exacting tolerances and hand-fitted to insure reliability and performance. The frame features 25-line per inch checkering on the front strap – while the mainspring housing has 20-line per inch checkering – and both the frame and slide are de-horned for comfortable full-size carry. Like all SIG SAUER products the 1911 TTT pistol contains only premium internal parts including a match grade barrel, hammer/sear set and trigger. For safety the Revolution™ TTT features a beavertail grip safety with speed bump, extended thumb safety, firing pin safety and hammer intercept notch and ships in a plastic gun case with cable lock.
We just posted photos and specs on Sig’s 1911 Traditional Compact Stainless model and in addition to the compact, we’ve now got the 1911 Traditional Match Elite pistol in stock.
The Traditional Match Elite 1911 (1911T-45-TME) features a natural stainless slide, Nitron finished frame, traditional round top slide, ground side flats, front cocking serrations, custom wood grips, front strap serrations, and an ambidextrous safety. This model also ships with two magazines with bumpers.
Like the Traditional Compact, the Traditional Match Elite was announced in January and appeared in Sig Sauer’s 2011 catalog. Also like the Traditional Compact, the specs published in the catalog don’t exactly match the specs of the version released. The specs and catalog show the Traditional Match Elite with the “triangle” three hole speed trigger and it is being shipped with a solid trigger.
See detailed photos of the Traditional Match Elite 1911 below or head over to our store for full specs, availability, and pricing.
Sig Sauer announced a number of new 1911’s in January and many of these new models are just starting to ship. Today we received Sig Sauer’s 1911 Traditional Compact Stainless (Model 1911TCO-45-SSS) chambered in .45 ACP.
The Traditional Compact Stainless is another example of Sig’s great quality 1911’s. This model features a natural stainless steel slide and frame, night sights, wood grips, and three “triangle hole” trigger.
It is worth noting that there are a number of variations in the production version of the 1911 Traditional Compact Stainless compared to the original specs released in January. Below is the portion of Sig Sauer’s 2011 catalog showing the specs for the new pistol:
If you look at the photos of the actual model being shipped shown below, you’ll notice that the grips are not the Hogue custom wood grips shown in the above spec and the night sights are made by Trijicon…
Are you frustrated that there are never enough choices when it comes to purchasing a Sig Sauer pistol? Do you find that there isn’t enough variety? Do you find yourself wanting a different finish / configuration for each day of the week?
Well, you probably answered no to all of those questions but that doesn’t mean that you aren’t going to have the option of choosing between 7 new Sig Sauer Mosquitos when you’re selecting your next .22 LR pistol! That isn’t a typo – there are 7 new models.
That’s right! Sig Sauer is rolling out the following new Mosquito configurations:
MOS-22-CAR – Carbon Fiber (finish is assumed) – MSRP $469
MOS-22-MULTI – Multi Camo – MSRP $469
MOS-22-MULTI_TB – Multi Camo with Threaded Barrel – MSRP $493
MOS-22-OD – OD Frame – MSRP $419
MOS-22-OD-TB – OD Frame with Threaded Barrel – MSRP $444
MOS-22-FDE – Flat Dark Earth Frame – MSRP $419
MOS-22-FDE-TB – Flat Dark Earth Frame with Threaded Barrel – MSRP $444
I hear that Oprah is looking for work – I think she would be a good spokesperson for these: “You get a Mosquito, you get a Mosquito, you get a Mosquito, everybody gets a different Mosquito!”
You can grab one of each and you’ll have a different .22LR pistol for every day of the week! If you’re already into collecting Mosquito pistols, you better go ahead and add all 7 of these to your collection. In fact, if you do buy all 7, I’d love to see a photo of your collection. Send me a photo and I’ll mail you a groovy Sig Sauer sticker! That is some real incentive, huh?!
Update 6-16-11 – we’ve got photos now of a few models:
