We’ve got the P229 chambered in .357 Sig in stock with night sights. Below are photos and you can see this model in our store.
Sig Sauer has finally started shipping their 1911 Scorpion pistols (1911R-45-SCPN) and we finally received the first of them. Sig Sauer’s new Scorpion will probably be one of their best selling 1911’s – it has a lot of features and a very competitive price.
The Scorpion is quite similar to Kimber’s Desert Warrior in features:
- Night sights
- Solid (non-skeletonized) trigger
- Accessory rail
- Ambidextrous Safety
- Front strap checkering
- Hogue custom G10 grips
- Hogue extended magazine well – integrated into the grips / mainspring housing (not on the Warrior)
- Cerakote finished frame and slide
The Scorpion has a MSRP of $1,128 while Kimber’s Warrior retails for about $1,449.
One thing worth pointing out is the magazine well’s design. The magazine well actually integrates into the grips and mainspring housing – matching in texture / color. This isn’t a design common to many 1911’s.
See photos of the Scorpion below. We’ll add it to the store as soon as we receive another shipment. We currently have roughly 40 on order.
Update 5-11-11 – we now have the 1911 Scorpion in our store with specs / pricing / current availability. You can place an order in the store or by phone at 573-859-6044.
We’ve just received Sig Sauer’s newest sub compact 9mm pistol – the P290. This is one of Sig Sauer’s smallest 9mm pistols and has been well received with the popularity of concealed carry.
The P290 features a Nitron finished slide with night sights, a polymer frame, and is double action only.
Below are photos showing every angle of the P290 and a comparison between the P290 and a Ruger LCP.
We have the Sig P290 in our store where you can see specs and pricing / ordering information.
We’ve got a new P238 combo in stock – a black P238 with contrast sights and a 238-TGL trigger guard laser. The combo will sell for $569 which is a very competitive price for the package.
Below are photos of the P238 TGL combo and you can see specs and order this model in our store. You can also upgrade the 238-TGL laser to a Crimson Trace LG-492 for an additional $70. Orders must be placed by phone for this upgrade but the LG-492 is eligible for a $50 mail in rebate – the rebate runs from April 2, 2011 to June 30, 2011!

We’ve got another new batch of guns which recently arrived and one of those is the 1911 C3 Crimson Trace. This is not a cataloged model but it is configured with the Crimson Trace directly from the factory.

Out of all the newest pistols coming out in 2011, Sig Sauer’s 1911-22 chambered in .22LR may be one of the most overlooked models. Sig’s 1911-22 .22LR is a full size 1911 at a very reasonable price. MSRP is only $399!
This model has rosewood grips, contrast sights, a black finish, and a SAO trigger.
I had the opportunity to handle the .22LR 1911 at SHOT on Tuesday and it feels absolutely outstanding in your hand. The weight is great and the trigger is really crisp – better than you’d expect. All that Sig needs now is a threaded barrel for this beauty so I can throw my AAC Prodigy on it!
Update 6-3-11 – We’ve got some updated coverage on this model on our blog and we have the 1911-22 in stock in our store. We’ve also got detailed photos and info on ordering extra 1911-22 magazines.
As it turns out, the 1911-22 barrel is already threaded from the factory. The pistol has a cap over the threading and you can use an extension adapter for a silencer / suppressor.
