Sig Sauer 1911 Fastback Nightmare

I just got my hands on specs for Sig Sauer’s new 1911 Fastback Nightmare. This is the first 1911 from Sig Sauer to offer a rounded mainspring housing.

The rounded mainspring housing has been a very popular feature for companies like Kimber with their Super Carry line and the Fastback Nightmare is sure to be popular for Sig Sauer.

The legendary 1911 design has been brought into the 21st century with the refinements today’s shooters demand, The 1911Fastback Nightmare pistol from SIG SAUER, features a stainless steel frame with rounded grip and mainspring housing. Each pistol is built using premium internal parts including a match grade barrel, hammer/sear set and trigger. The all Nitron coated frame and slide is contrasted with natural stainless controls, barrel bushing extractor and grips screws. The Nightmare is finished with a set of black G10 double diamond grips that makes this 1911 SIG SAUER looks as good as it performs.

Very interested in this 1911(Fastback) .Being a left handed shooter the lack of the ambidextrous safety is a great disappointment. I attended a class in New. Hampshire last year and met one of your instructors that let me use his personal 1911. To make a long story short I am seriously in the market for one of your 1911 when I get back to another class in early 2012.

Will these be offered with a rail? If not, is it going to happen in the future

Initially they won’t have a rail. I’m not sure about what Sig will do down the road.

I just picked mine up, and its very nice, comparing to the Kimbers I think it still comes out on top, very accurate even though I have only ran about 30 rounds through it.

I forgot to mention how polished it feels like its been deburred, alot of 1911 is the same price range feel gritty like sand is in the slide.

Just picked one up for under $900, it shoots as good as it looks! Very accurate, it even out shoots My Wilson Combat at 25yds, which is mind blowing! the fit and finish is top notch, this gun will remain in the Family and be passed on for generations. I love and own 1911’s made by every major and not so major manufacturers and several custom jobs, and this gun is awesome and quickly became one of My favorites! It may be named the Nightmare but it us anything but, its more like a Sweet Dream come true!, thanks Sig Sauer keep up the good work!!!
